The company was founded in 1961 by Erich Reimann as Electronic Developments and Services and in 1987 changed its trading name to Engineering Design & Systems Pty Ltd. to better reflect its ongoing activities.
Since 1991 reflecting new ownership and direction, our company's focus has been the introduction of new, innovative product lines and diversification of our market base.
Engineering Design & Systems imports its products and acts as representative for various well know overseas OEMs and suppliers. The products are then marketed and serviced throughout Australia and New Zealand. In addition, we adapt and engineer our products to suit particular client's requirements and applications.
EDSI's activities are primarily focused in the Industrial, Communications and Defence markets.
